Computers (in this sense) are Microsoft Windows point of sale terminals, tablets, desktops and laptop computers. In other words, its any computer that runs the Acme Point of Sale Windows Desktop app. Price "per computer" does not include the cost of the computer itself.

For purposes of pricing, portable data collectors, wireless bar code scanners and computers of any type (ipad, Android, Windows tablet) that are used to remote control a computer running Acme Desktop are NOT considered additional computers.

The Acme Mobile App (not the same as the desktop app) is not licensed on a per computer basis, it can be used with an unlimited number of staff per store.

Acme works with all card processors, but we do have our favorites. We call them preferred processors because they can meet or beat existing rates, and make it easier for you (and us) to work with them. As a result, we often stock and ship their payment terminals, they may supply software components that become part of your integration, and you avoid a la carte expenses. (see next section for details) 

Merchant service providers compete to become preferred processors and when they do YOU win with less paperwork and telephone tag, faster deployments and fewer headaches.

Since companies change over time, our preferred processor list does too. Inquire for details.

Some services and software components may be fee based. For example, we work with all card processors, and some of them make it easier than others, so there may be fees involved for start with, or switch to, some processors, but not all processors. Even though the costs are out of our control, we have a good handle on them and the options, so please enquire for details.

No. -Many people (and other software companies) confuse billing models with deployment methods.

• Subscription and "one-time price" are billing models.
• Cloud and "on premises" are deployment methods.

Acme is deployed on-premises (in your store) so the cloud can never come between you and your customers. If you have more than one store your Central Acme can be deployed anywhere including our hosted "cloud" servers.

If you do not already own your domain we will guide you through process of finding, purchasing, registering and renewing it.  The costs associated with that are between you and your domain registrar, so they are not included.
